Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s roster is packed with heavy hitters, but one old-school crime-fighting duo could bring a unique charm.

Harley Quinn, King Shark, and Deadshot in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

There are already a healthy amount of heroes appearing in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, including Superman, The Flash, and Wonder Woman. Since the Justice League is being spotlighted, most of the potential heroes that could appear are among the most well-known in the public eye. However, there is still room for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League to do something surprising by adding a pair of lesser-known heroes to the fight like the Wonder Twins.

Players will fight DC’s heroes in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, with the League under Brainiac’s control and Task Force X deployed to stop them. The concept alone has been a good way to draw attention, as there are not a lot of game which let players face off with DC Comics’ greatest. Judging by the trailers, characters who are normally a sign of hope, such as Superman, have been turned into terrifying opponents, which brings to question just how they can be defeated with what Task Force X has at their disposal. That may just be a part of the game’s charm.

The Wonder Twins Could Be a Quirky Challenge in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Wonder Twins DC Movie

Zan and Jayna, the Wonder Twins, are two of DC’s most underrated and underused heroes. Although they are most commonly associated with the Super Friends cartoon, Zan and Jayna have appeared in comics as well, associated with the Justice League. Both twins are shapeshifters, with Zan transforming into any form of water, while Jayna can become any animal. Although often underestimated, their powers have more potential than they seem at first glance.

Zan and Jayna’s Wonder Twin powers could provide a creative boss fight in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Zan’s powers let him turn into things including steam, a geyser, or even a tidal wave. He could also add to his intimidation factor by transforming into a monstrous ice golem during a fight. As for Jayna, her transforming powers not only include animals, but mythological creatures and alien wildlife as well. The only restriction is that she has to know the name of what she intends to turn into. With their powers combined, a fight with the Wonder Twins has a ton of possibilities.

Not only could the Wonder Twins be fun to fight, but an appearance could also be a great boost for their overall status. The characters of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League can raise their profiles by being in the game, just like the recent James Gunn film did for Bloodsport and Peacemaker, among others. Aside from a limited series in 2019, the Wonder Twins have received very little attention of late. A role in Kill the Justice League that reintroduces the duo to fans could be the first step toward getting them a bigger place in the DC universe.

The Wonder Twins are probably not the first characters many would expect in Kill the Justice League, but that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t make great additions. Similar to Wonder Woman’s role in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the game needs a few unexpected elements to give the story more punch, and the sudden resurgence of the Wonder Twins would certainly be a surprise. Zan and Jayna may not be A-list heroes, but if Brainiac has a good reason to conscript them, they could be Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League‘s biggest surprise.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will release on February 2, 2024, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
